Vintage Large 8" Italian Alabaster Orange Ashtrays (Pair)

Here are a pair of vintage, mid century hand-carved orange Italian alabaster ashtrays. Both are approximately 8"x8" and 1.25" thick, weighing 3 lbs, 10 oz. Each has two cigarette slots. Both are beautiful, with warm orange color and a natural calcite veining/inclusions visible in the bowls and sides — typical and desirable in genuine hand-carved Italian alabaster. A few of the white specks have very light associated micro-surface marks from normal vintage use (barely noticeable and mentioned only for accuracy). Tops retain nice original polish, undersides are pristine (thanks in part to small round cork pads). The edges combine polished natural ragged cuts and hand-chiseled marks. Both have their original " Genuine Alabaster Hand Carved in Italy" labels. Each also have black and red veins that run throughout the stone. Please see photos.
